Newtown High school student Riley Sears joined EOM on a work experience placement in September.
Riley will be attending one day per week for four weeks and will be moving around the business gaining valuable experience into plumbing, electrical and carpentry trades.
His first day was spent with Electrician Stephen Andrews, “I had a great day” said Riley, “Everyone was very friendly and I’m looking forward to coming back next week”.
General Manager Mike Mills said, “I was very impressed with Riley’s attitude on day one, he was keen to leave the classroom and get involved with the world of work, we talked about apprenticeships and what his favourite topics in school were” “ At EOM we are always keen to provide an insight into what we do and encourage young people”
