EOM Electrical Contractors Ltd is a well established and reliable Mid Wales business providing electrical, gas and plumbing works as well as general maintenance. We work on projects ranging from small jobs for individual homeowners to large-scale projects for commercial and public sector clients.

Established in 1995 we will provide services to clients throughout Mid Wales and boast an impressive client portfolio including Barcud, Newydd Housing Association, First Choice Housing Association, Powys County Council, Freedom Leisure and many commercial clients. The services we offer include:

We firmly believe in providing professional opportunities for local, talented and hardworking young people, so in addition to our skilled, well-qualified staff we also employ and develop apprentices. This means we can provide the best quality workmanship by highly trained and qualified staff whilst also contributing to development opportunities for Mid Wales people. All of our staff are offered ongoing development and training at our on-site training centre, as well as college and externally based courses.

LoRaWAN Technology

EOM are an experienced and expert installer of LoRaWAN products.

LoRa stands for Long Range while WAN stands for Wide-Area Network; LoRaWAN’s wireless technology uses radio waves which allows for long-range communication between sensors and gateways, this allows for data to be sent over the air, thus allowing the wireless monitoring of sensors. LoRaWAN sensors detect numerous measurements such as humidity and temperature; they can also undertake tasks such as testing emergency lighting and smoke alarms. The sensors transmit the data to the closest LoRaWAN gateway, which then sends the data to a software platform where it can be viewed on a dashboard on any device over the internet.

With the Welsh Gov proposing to install CO2 monitoring into schools as part of their plan to fight Covid infections, EOM were keen to be involved by undertaking trials of CO2 monitoring sensor units within classrooms.
