EOM install photovoltaic solar panels to achieve ambitious decarbonisation strategy.

EOM’s solar team have successfully installed photovoltaic solar panels on a property at Troed Y Rhiw, Llandrindod Wells, in combination with an air source heat pump system to provide heating, hot water and electricity.

This installation is a part of EOM’s drive to assist it’s customer Barcud Housing to achieve the ambitious decarbonisation strategy inline with the Welsh Governments Green growth pledge to improve sustainability across the country.

The team attended a BPEC training course which provided electricians with the skills and knowledge required to install photovoltaic (PV) systems to single phase supplies. The course is structured to meet the requirements of the National Occupational Standards and is recognised as a demonstration of competence for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

In conjunction with MCS, the solar team took on additional training to upskill their existing skills to install Electrical Energy Storage Systems, also known as EESS. These systems are the batteries which store the energy generated by the photovoltaic panels, so that it can be used at a later date.

We are proud to say that our solar team are fully BPEC:MCS and BPEC:EESS accredited and have dedicated technical staff on hand to deal with all your enquiries using a software programme which gives an accurate indication of performance and also are members of REAL which insures that your investment is safe.
